Google Drive Specifications

1. Size - The current size for the drives are 5gb.  That is a little smaller than GMAIL which currently supports 10gb per account
2. Cross Platform support - Android, Windows, OS X, and Chrome OS systems
3. File Security and Sharing - your files are encrypted, but your google password is your only protection that your files are safe
4. File Hosting - you can publicly share files from your google drive
5. File Editing - you can edit files in google doc format, files stored in microsoft formats will need to be edited offline or converted in order to "Edit with the Cloud

For starters you can take a look at the competition....

Dropbox.com and FilesAnywhere.com have set the bar.  

With dropbox you start out with a 2gig account.  It will integrate nicely into Windows, Mac, Android, and even Linux.   You can invite your friends to join you and get an additional 250mb per friend for free.  Your 2gig account can grow to 8gig with support from your friends.  You can always purchase additional space.  A web client is available if you want to access your files without downloading a client.

FilesAnywhere accounts start out with 1gig of storage.  Android and web clients are available to provide easy access to your files.  

So mash what you like about Dropbox.com, FilesAnywhere.com, Amazon Cloud, Google Music, and Google Docs... 

Throw in a dash of Google Magic - and you will have a Google Drive....
